200th POST!

Creationist: Nouveau

He gets the prize for the 200th Fail of the Day! The odds were good that he'd be the one to do it. :)

Recap: Evolutionists can't explain bird migration. Why?

God tells the birds where to go. They follow instructions and arrive alive.

Yeah. He went there.

Grass FAIL

Posted at CARM on November 16th, 2011. Creationist: FormerlySaul

Cows will step over hay to get to grass, if left unmanipulated, cows eat grass yet produce milk, butter, cream etc and the greatest, a calf.. all from grass which has little if any nutritional value. Can you evo's explain how milk, butter, cream and yes even a calf are all created from just grass?

This guy doesn't know where babies come from - or that the byproduct of an animal doesn't have anything much to do with what they eat.

Oral FAIL

Posted at CARM on October 30th, 2011. Creationist: Nouveau.

OP made by another Creationist (Mustang47): (paraphrased)
Hey Darwinists, give me evidence for evolution and then tell me why I should believe it instead of the infallible word of God.

Nouveau:

It depends on what they call "science". Their oral traditions is blindness to observation.

There's nothing more believable that two people in a garden condemning humanity because someone ate some fruit when they got tricked by a talking snake.

Classification FAIL

Posted at CARM on October 27th, 2011. Creationist: Winner/Winfield

Scientist:
Are Chimps and Gorillas apes?

Winner/Winfield:
Apes in a sense that they had some similarities as we define apes.

Scientist:
Like what?

Winner/Winfield:
They had both feet, head, mouth, etc...

So...my friends cat: she's an ape. And so is my friends bird. And so is my brother. *facepalm*

Astronomy FAIL

Posted at CARM on October 26th, 2011. Creationist: Nouveau.

Nouveau is logging a LOT of hours on CARM...and he's fairly retarded when it comes to science. So...here's yet another example.

What does astrology or even astronomy do to explain a long necked giraffe.
Do these astrologers read stars and see that as adding info to the genome?

Yikes. This is in response to a rebuttal of their concept of Creation of a young universe 6,000 years ago...not evolution. Clearly. Good to know he still can't read.

Yup. He just asked that.

Pottery FAIL

Posted at CARM on October 25th, 2011. Creationist: Nouveau

pottery has been around a long time. The early evos sacrificed to the gods of Molech. Firstborn stuffed into an urn or large pot and sacrificed. Today we have abortion from the evo movement. Pottery shows a history of false religions.

Umm...evolutionary science was around with the Phoenicians? Huh...didn't know that. And I didn't know pottery is evidence for a false religion. Tool.

Hate 101

Posted at CARM on Sept 28th, 2011. Creationist: SuperSport.

Have you always wanted to learn how to hate other people as best as possible? Look no farther than your local Young Earth Creationist!

It is not an "attack" to call a baby-killing atheist a baby-killing atheist. Anyone who votes people in office who actively promote or enable killing babies is essentially a baby killer in my book, just as an accomplice to a murder is a murderer.

As far as the whole gay thing goes, I don't, and have never "harrassed" them....I would certainly never try to injure or harm them physically, as insinuated in the OP...........but it is clear that homosexuals are becoming a plague on society. They are overwhelmingly a disease-infested and disease-spreading group of people, which pose a great health threat on the general population. And like their parent group, the atheists, they are basically just a cancer on the human race....they don't do anything constructive, they're not good parents, they're not good role-models, they're not good citizens, and they're not even good representatives of their own gender. Gay men act, talk, walk and dress like 13 year old girls and gay women act, talk, walk and dress like 13 year old boys. This is a highly depressed, highly confused, highly disease-ridden, highly drug-addicted group that needs to have their own gay community out on some deserted island where they can't corrupt and infect the rest of the population with their demented morality and myriad of diseases. The world was a better place when homosexuality was illegal and kept only in dark closets.

Don't you just feel the brotherly love and the spirit of Christ? I know I do.

Majority FAIL

Posted at CARM on Spetember 27th, 2011. Creationist: Diane S

When voted on by the majority, it is still NOT the position of the people.

Really? Seems like...a majority of the people is the position of the people. That's how we get presidents, right? Wait....

Gene FAIL

Posted at CARM on Sept 27th, 2011. Creationist: supersport.

I've noticed that the atheist gene very often accompanies the gay gene, the transexual gene, the evolutionist gene, the drunkard gene, the depression gene, and the drug-addict gene.

Someone doesn't know that genes aren't a kind of pants.

Vaccine FAIL

Posted at CARM on Sept 22nd, 2011. Creationist: SuperSport

Posted in response to this article:
Rambunctious one-year-old Teco, a third-generation captive-born bonobo at the Great Ape Trust in Des Moines, Iowa, has an ape’s usual fondness for games and grapes. But perhaps because of trauma from a difficult birth (his mother was in labor for 60 hours) or a genetic predisposition, Teco is different from his bonobo peers in ways that resemble autism in young children. He could not cling to his mother or nurse the way healthy young apes do instinctively, mimicking the aversion to physical contact seen in children with autism. Teco also tends to fixate on shiny objects and avoids eye contact, and he has trouble coordinating his four limbs

Supersport:
Congratulations evos! Your vaccinations are doing the same things in zoo apes as they are in humans; screwing them up. Before long the zoo apes will start turning gay, acting obnoxious, angry, smoking, doing drugs and coming down with a variety of health issues, etc....basically acting like miniature ape-versions of Christopher Hitchens.

Hey evos....it may be that your vaccinations need to be updated....it's probably about time to load yourself up with a bunch of toxic chemicals....oh...and don't forget to take your flu shots...(you'll need several this year.)

When asked to present evidence that 1) vaccinations cause autism and 2) that this bonobo was given vaccinations, he had this to say.

Supersport:
Vaccination of zoo carnivores is essential because of their susceptibility to various diseases such as feline panleukopenia, feline rhinotracheitis, feline calicivirus, rabies, canine distemper, and canine parvovirus.

Umm...1) Bonobos aren't carnivores. 2) these are vaccinations for FELINES and CANINES...neither of which family do chimpanzees/bonobos fall under. IDIOT!

Soup FAIL

Plant FAIL

Posted at CARM on September 21st, 2011. Creationists Paul Solberg and Nouveau.

Paul:
I'm a YEC. I'm curious to know why plants could not have survived the Great Flood. The Bible says that after the Ark touched down in the mountains of Ararat a bird was let loose and returned with an olive leaf. Any thoughts?

Nouveau:
Plants can survive. God destroyed life in animals that breathed.

Of course. That's a great explanation. :P

Christian FAIL

Posted at CARM September 2011 (several days). Creationist: Diane S - CARM V.P.

Diane began attacking another member, SOMS for saying that she had become an atheist due to her time spent on CARM.

Keep in mind - this is all written by a self proclaimed CHRISTIAN, and a leader of a Christian Ministry organization. It's slightly amazing, and why I'm no longer a Christian myself.

SOMS, as a side note, is a WONDERFUL and DEAR young woman that is kind to ALL, no matter their religion, or lack thereof. She made a very difficult journey, and I myself am proud to say I helped her along the way. :)

Poster:
Poster: It means that when SOMS wasn't pushed about her beliefs then she was quite happy with them and would most likely have remained a follower of her chosen sect of Christianity. However when she came to CARM she had to question her beliefs and that, as they say, is where the rot set in.

Diane S:
oh please, this person claimed to denounce Christianity before her posts here. This is a borderline troll person with an agenda for attention.
Next she will claim to be wiccan or pagan...
SOMS is A FRAUD with a personality disorder online.......
And yes, I have seen the evidence before these forums opened she was denouncing Christianity.
She is a LIAR, fraud, troll....

Poster:
Those are very strong claims with no concrete evidence - for those of us reading this, have you any evidence for us to believe this apart from your reputation and witness here?

Diane S:
Of course I do or I wouldn't post it. And for the record, opinion does no require evidence though I have already posted much of the evidence, the WORDS of Scripture and her very own words posted here or statements made by others on this forum concerning the supposed "deconversion".

It is my opinion based on what I've read and heard, and witnessed. Ask the person posting here if she claims to have been a Christian and now she is not. I can only say in my opinion she is a liar of denouncing Christ Jesus, denying the Son, because Scripture tells me that person is a liar. I have already posted the verses.

As for other evidence, the trolling and games, have read that as well.
Note that she says "of course I have evidence" but then states "I don't need evidence for an opinion". Then later "it's a fact she didn't". Which is it?

Poster:
From what I've seen of SOMS she is a loving, intelligent, kind HUMAN BEING who has been nothing but honest with others and herself. NO-ONE deserves to be called those kind of names by someone they don't even know, least of all SOMS.

Diane S:
Well, I see the very opposite of the traits you listed, observed on these forums and will say so. Have a problem with that? Too bad....

SOMS finds the post that calls her all manner of rotten things:
I believe this is called libel?
Please...where is such proof? Personality disorder?????

wow....
liar...
fraud...
troll...
wow....

This was very nasty. And very uncalled for.

Diane's response:
Accusations of being libeled/an implied legal threat

Poster suspended.

Moderators/Managers/Admin may ban someone if they even suspect that the person is trying to cause trouble in any way. No explanations are needed. If you don't like it, don't register. Any LEGAL THREATS to CARM or the CARM users will result in immediate banning of all parties involved.

Poster:
You say that SOMS didn't deconvert here on CARM. Fine. But you saying she was never really a true Christian is a bit harsh, don't you think?

Another poster:
As Jesus said he would love NONE, there is always the chance then that the faith that SOMS had prior to her 'deconversion' counts for something and that she is not eternally lost. Maybe, just maybe, if there is a resurrection, SOMS will meet the Jesus she knew and loved in her early life and spend eternity with him. Perhaps rather than being a troll and a liar, she is a sister in Christ who has temporarily lost her way.

Diane S:
And perhaps it is time she be publically rebuked and turned over to Satan for discipline and to protect the others she is infecting? If you are correct, she would then have to also be held responsible to the Lord Jesus for all those she harmed along the way in the false teachings she continues to post year after year.

Moving right along - here's a highlight reel of Diane's best Christian posts in this thread.

SOMS (pre banning):
It's MY life, I would know. I have tons of scriptures memorized.

Diane S:
So does Satan.

Diane S:
SOMS, you are a liar, fraud, anti-Christ, read the verse.

"They were never of us"...so we should believe you and not John?

If you are having identity issues, maybe you should seek therapy.

I jump in and say "I walked with SOMS on the Evolution forum when she was still making decisions about her life. We gave her a LOT of advice that helped her make her decision. SOMS is a honest and good person."

Poster (Creationist):
And you expect me to take your word for it?

Poster (atheist):
Are you calling Elf (me) a liar?

Diane S:
I am, yes. Her statement that she 'deconverted on the Evolutionary forums is a LIE.

Notice that no where did I say that - I only mention that we talked a lot about it on the Evolution forums...not that she did it on the forums. But hey - she's far too pissed off at being wrong and getting called out for un-Christian behavior to stop now.

After banning the majority of people that stood up to defend someone that had been slandered, she finished it off with this.

Diane S:
I'll do a webpage myself using her real name and will drag her family in.

Gotta love that good Christian vibe you get from these people.

Posted at CARM on September 15th, 2011. Creationist: System1970

If I go to a foreign country, I try to dress and behave appropriately so as not to offend the local population. Gay people should behave likewise. It's fine if they flash their gayness everywhere when they are among their own kind, but when around normal people they should be more polite.

When they're around their own kind? Seriously? They're not a different species...we ARE their own kind. Friggin retards.

Digit FAIL

Posted at CARM on September 7th, 2011. Creationist: Robert Byers

(In response to an article on birds fingers and how the first finger on a bird is indeed the thumb)

first there is no such thing as digits. There is just a need of bodies to have flexible protruding bones for different important needs. Birds just have them too. There is no reason to see any evolution of this digit into that.

Sometimes it just hurts too much to try and figure out what they were thinking.

If both chimps and humans had the same retroviruses, of the same location, then, we can conclude that the viruses had attacked both chimps and humans on the same time and place. Therefore, those so called ancestors were not actually existing and [theory of evolution] is wrong.

The odds of that happening are actually LESS than this idiot accepting evidence for evolution.

Earth Fail

Posted at CARM on August 23rd, 2011. Creationist: Caius

More gravity=faster time. Gravity is greatest at the surface, and goes to zero at the center of the Earth. Likewise, if the Earth is the center of the universe, gravity would be greatest at the edge of the universe and the least at the center, where the Earth is. The result is that light could travel billions of light-years from the edge of the universe and get here in just thousands of Earth years.

The Atheist's rebuttal is to assume that the Earth isn't the center of the universe.

Biology FAIL

Posted at CARM on June 30th, 2011. Creationist: Supersport

Right after posting this:

No, I'm not an expert in anything. I hated biology class in HS, so I would never try to pass myself off as an authority or anything like that. like a good evo, you've pegged me wrong. All I do is ask questions, and wonder why the evos, in the name of science, can't answer them.

He posts this:

any interest or knowledge of biology is not needed in a discussion of evolution. Nothing a biologist or geneticist sees in the field or under a microscope has anything to do with evolution. evolution and biology are completely different subjects. One is a "hard" science of observation, the other is a "soft" pseudo-science found nowhere but the mind of a fanatical and ideological dreamer. No matter how much knowledge or insight one might have in biology, nothing can combat or change the mind of the pseudo-scientific dreamer.

So THAT'S why they call it evolutionary biology. Because it has nothing to do with evolution. I get it. :P

Wormholes Lead to Heaven

Posted at CARM on June 29th, 2011. Creationist: Dad.

http://www.daviddarling.info/images/...le_graphic.jpg

"Wormholes arise as solutions to the equations of Einstein's general theory of relativity. In fact, they crop up so readily in this context that some theorists are encouraged to think that real counterparts may eventually be found or fabricated and, perhaps, used for high-speed space travel and/or time travel. However, a known property of wormholes is that they are highly unstable and would probably collapse instantly if even the tiniest amount of matter, such as a single photon, attempted to pass through them. A possible way around this problem is the use of exotic matter to prevent the wormhole from pinching off."

Dad:
Physical science only knows an earth zone style physical 'universe'. Therefore their theories are limited. The concept of a door to another 'universe' however is also found in God's word. Using not strange or exotic matter that is a kissing cousin of the physical only realm, but spiritual forces, such holes are known to be opened. Such doors are a matter of record and fact.

I glanced at a site where they were stuggling with the basic concept, and found a lot of great thoughts and verses, although of course far different conclusions.

I used to lean toward a partial canopy as the source of flood water. I now lean toward the waters coming from outside what we think of as space.

What does the bible say!?

Ge 7:11 - In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

Ge 8:2 - The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

So, we have in creation week, the waters above the expanse or firmament, and the waters on earth, below. In the expanse were the stars and sun and moon.

A door or window to the third heavens was opened then, apparently.

Many other times is the doors or windows of heaven referred to also.

Examples: ....

Isa 24:18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

Mal 3:10 - Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Psa 78:23 Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven, 24 And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.

Ezekiel 1:1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

Mark 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:

Luke 3:21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,

22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

Since we do not know what space (the second heavens) really is far away, we cannot know distances to stars, or sizes, etc. Knowing that space may be a LOT smaller makes heaven seem a lot closer. And it is amazing that man can have and has had a direct connection to the abode of the Almighty!!!

Real science can be so interesting.

Wow. So...wormholes go...to heaven. Gotcha. No...no. Not crazy and without any evidence at all.

Religion 101

Posted at CARM on April 6th, 2011. Creationist: Dakotat5/Sinsanri

Non-Creationist:
As far as I know, NASA and science has not yet rejected the possibility that life may have evolved on Mars in earlier times, when it had more water and probably more atmosphere. Do you have some inside knowledge?

Life on other planets in our solar system may also be possible, but perhaps not probable. The evidence for planets around other stars is growing, but we do not yet have technology to detect earth-sized planets at about the right distance from their sum to support earth-like life. Again, what makes you so certain of your conclusion?

Dakotat5/Sinsanri:
Who cares? If it doesn't agree with the Bible then it is wrong.

And that is the true mentality of Creationists. If it doesn't agree with the Bible, then it's wrong. Like heliocentricism, deep time, and six-legged grasshoppers.

Spot FAIL

Posted at CARM on Feb 23rd 2011. Creationist: Dakotat5

OP: How did the leopard get its spots? How did the zebra get its stripes?

The answer may be a gene, which scientists have found governs colour patterns in deer mice, the most widespread mammal in North America.

This gene, called Agouti, is found in all vertebrates and may establish colour pattern in a wide variety of species, a process that has been poorly understood at both the molecular and the evolutionary level.

you are surrounded by an angry mob who are going to light you up if you do not renounce your evolutionary beliefs. would you die for evolution?

{i am betting most of them will lie}

Mountaineer_Elf: If someone put a gun to a random persons head and said "say there's no evolution or I'll shoot her" I will gladly say "there is no evolution" and do so quickly and without thought.

Why? Because it has no bearing on the fact that evolution does exist - it doesn't need my permission.

It's not a belief - it's an acceptance in the evidence and data that supports it.

If someone put a gun to my head and said to you "deny God or I will kill her", what would you say?

dakotat5: figures the woman would alter the question. it is not asking if a friend or stranger were being threatened but if you were. try to stick to the topic and do it right.

i would say shoot her.

Mountaineer_Elf: Wow - I suppose I should just jump back into the kitchen and get your dinner for you huh? Maybe make and have a baby on the way while attempting to vacuum with the handle in my mouth and burning my hands on the stove while baking bread.

Nice to know you don't value life though. Thanks for that. I hope I'm never in a situation where it's up to you to lie to someone to save my life.

I've never been offended by a young earth creationist before - it's usually just something along the lines of "oh, you know - that's how they are. They're a YEC, you know?" Or "oh grandma, you're so silly" when an old fashioned person says something racist or uncouth, etc.

Congrats on being the first YEC that's actually personally offended me on this website. Consider your post reported, though nothing will happen per usual.

ETA: I did misread your post, thinking it was two questions: "would you die for your belief in evolution" as well as "would you let someone die because you didn't renounce your belief in evolution".

Look - I admitted I made a mistake dakotat5. Must be the woman in me.

Good Christian, eh?

Just....FAIL

Posted at CARM on Feb 10th, 2011. Creationist: Win.

What I'm asking is that: why death is possible if replication is the process? Why not continuing replication? Why nature limits it? The rock doesn't replicate, so it must have a limitation of survival.

*facepalm*

Foot FAIL

Posted at CARM on Feb 10th, 2011. Creationist: Noob.

The short version: My post was about the discovery of a uniquely shaped metatarsal of A. afarensis which shows that the foot at the metatarsals had an arch to it, suggesting that Lucy and the other A. afarensis' were more bipedal than originally thought.
Noob: Evos are turbo super stupid regarding human anatomy. Foot bone. Feet consist of many bones.

Idiot.

Deserving FAIL

Passed on to me by DM on Feb 8th, 2011.

Reag: "I usually limit my comments to the Biblical ideas of helping deserving poor (which the Bible calls "widows and orphans"), and letting the undeserving poor starve as a motivation to change."

Wow. The image that came to mind was the starving children of Africa that aren't widows or orphans.

Fluid Dynamics FAIL

Posted at CARM on Feb 6th, 2011. Creationist: Noob

Evos can't take science appart and tell me how studying fluid dynamics in physics is aided by understanding mutations happen and species die.

Wow - really?

Lack of Understanding

Posted at CARM on Aug 29th, 2010. Creationist: Eek.

Comment: (based on a paper written about Neanderthals having autism or being responsible for autism in modern-day populations)

"the guy (the author of the paper) has no idea what he talking about, SAD is a seasonal form of depression, it has no relation to hibernation, no known ape species hibernates, they don't need to. this is just poor speculation and conclusions from poor speculation.
he has a list of sources but he doesn't appear to have read them."

Eek: Just because you have no idea what he is talking about, doesn't mean he doesn't!

I love a good double negative in the afternoon - don't you? I also love a good "whoosh" moment. As in right over this posters head.

Neanderthal FAIL

Posted at CARM on Aug 30th, 2010. Creationist: Eek

Comment: "There is no way to know whether or not neanderthals had autism."

Eek: "LOL! There is no way to know evolution happened, either. We can gather how they acted by the environment in which they lived. Most likely they would resemble people who have autism and aspergers syndrome."

Is this poster saying that all Neanderthals had autism due to the morphology of their skull? *facepalm*

Harassment FAIL

Posted at CARM on Jan 29th, 2011. Creationist: Eek

Comment: How dare I comment on what you have said in a public forum? You don't like it? Don't post in a public forum.

Gae: Yeah that is how evos do it: they goad people by asking personal questions about their feelings meanwhile saying "get a grip" and other harrassment, and then post it all on a blog with comments they can't get away with here.

YOU get a grip!

Don't like it? Stop being stupid. "Get a grip" isn't harassment...it's something that poster needs to do.

Wow. Sometimes the stupid burns, huh?
